The themes I explore include botanicals, landscapes, and geometric compositions that combine representational and abstracted elements. I use a wide array of media including acrylic, watercolour, oil stick, graphite, photography, digital, and handmade collage papers. I draw inspiration from the parade of shapes, colours, and rhythms found in nature, and revere the presence I feel there. Exploring how to balance structure and experimentation characterizes my studio practice where I'm immersed in world of possibility and risk-taking, sometimes leading to frustration, sometimes to satisfaction. Artmaking is a vehicle for self-discovery and reflection, an opportunity to slow down and notice all the beauty that surrounds us.
